In May, truly playful tenants, KITSTORE and Mandala Montessori, rented spaces in Prague’s Brumlovka. Both stores offer an assortment for children, but they often attract adults as well. KITSTORE is focussed on LEGO®, but it also serves as a game room and customers can visit it in building B with its entrance from the main Vyskočilova Street. The Mandala Montessori shop with hand-painted animal figurines is located in the shopping mall of the Brumlovka building. Visitors to both stores can expect quality service from a helpful staff and a wide range of toys and aids that will help children, for example, develop language and fine motor skills, logical thinking and mathematics. On International Children’s Day which will, like elsewhere, be celebrated on June 1st in Brumlovka, both stores have prepared discounted prices for toys and construction kits. The owner and manager of these buildings is the Passerinvest Group.

KITSTORE: A shop for lovers of Danish bricks

KITSTORE specialises in the sale of LEGO® building blocks, which are popular across generations. The company has been active on the Czech market as an e-shop for seven years and now customers have the opportunity to buy their favourite products directly in a brick-and-mortar shop in Brumlovka. People can also play there. The offer is really varied here and everyone at any age will find something to their tastes. There are over 400 kits to see here, among which customers will find the popular Harry Potter and Star Wars themes. Fans of travel and architecture can build their own Eiffel Tower, London Eye or Dubai Burj Chalífa skyscraper and be transported to their dream destinations via building blocks. “Lego isn’t just for children, adults will be entertained in the play room for several hours, too,” added Michal Zítko, the Executive Director of KITSTORE. For those who go to pick up their order and do not want to spend much time in the store, the shop is equipped with modern technologies in the form of touch screens or self-service kiosks.

Mandala Montessori: Toys inspired by children and nature

Mandala Montessori is tailored to small lovers of animals. It is a new kingdom of hand-painted figures and sets of animals that, thanks to its cooperation with a film channel oriented on wild animals, look truly realistic. In addition to the detailed figurines, Mandala Montessori also offers Montessori aids and elaborate didactic toys that help children develop all the senses. “You and your children will become appreciative explorers of the world of animals, and we believe that when you open your hearts, you will bring the creation of such worlds home, as well. The figures of animals are not just ordinary toys that end up in a box. We will be happy to show and advise you how, through the figures, you can develop your children not only in the field of knowledge of the world, but also in the areas of mathematics and language,” explained Jakub Beran, the owner of Mandala Montessori.

“Brumlovka is now a full-fledged city district, with a school, kindergarten, playgrounds and all kinds of sports facilities for both young and old. So, it seems natural to us to add services designed for the smallest people, and to show mothers that we are truly child friendly here in Brumlovka. We look forward to the glowing eyes of children from the animals of Montessori or their enthusiasm when constructing with Lego. For example, they can even build a model of the popular moving BEETLE installation from artist David Černý, since KITSTORE offers the Volkswagen Beetle kit from LEGO® Creator Expert,” said Lenka Preslová, Head of the Sales Department of Passerinvest.

There will also be a number of fun events and activities in Brumlovka this year on the occasion of International Children’s Day. On Wednesday, June 1st, a bouncy castle, face painting, balloon modelling and contests for prizes will be prepared for children. It will all take place in the pleasant environment of Brumlovka Park and Baar Park. On this day, the new tenants have also prepared a gift for the children – discounted prices on kits, toys and accessories.

The Brumlovka building was built in 2007 and has a total area of 6200 m2 on three storeys and three underground levels. The main tenant of the building is the modern wellness and fitness centre Balance Club Brumlovka, which uses approximately 80% of the total area. Building B was built in 1999, so it is one of the first office buildings built in Brumlovka, though it underwent complete reconstruction in 2020. Both buildings are very flexible, modern and at the same time pleasant.
