Come hear a story about how a single free afternoon can change a life—of a child, their family, and maybe even yours.

When: September 23, 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM

Location: Fleksi, Beta Building, Vyskočilova 1481/4, Prague 4

What’s it about: The organization Děti úplňku (Children of the Full Moon), together with their guests, will introduce you to homesharing — a smart and compassionate way to support families of children with autism and intellectual disabilities. These children often long for friendship just like their peers, but they need a little help to get there. That’s where hosts come in—people who spend time with them, take them for walks or trips, play together, or simply relax. The child returns home with new experiences, and their parents gain much-needed time to rest. You’ll meet Zuzka, a host who spends two afternoons a month with Miki. She’ll share why she got involved in homesharing, what it brings her, and what their time together looks like. One of the parents of a child with a disability will also join the conversation to openly share what homesharing means for their family and why hosts are so important to them.

Come pause for a moment and listen to these stories. They might inspire you. And if not, that’s perfectly okay—you’ll still gain a small glimpse into the lives of people who live among us.
