Sean McAlorum’s paintings capture moments of standstill — moments when movement and time seem to be suspended. Here, figures, trees and stumps do not act as mere motifs, but as silent witnesses to the transformation of the landscape and the human presence in it. Stillness is not empty; it is filled with tension, memory and expectation. In this standstill, a space opens up for attentive viewing and silent presence.
