Escape the winter chill and join us for our first event of 2026: a travel evening focusing on Indonesia.
Indonesia is a land where both nature and culture change faster than almost anywhere else in the world. Volcanoes reshape the landscape, ancient rituals endure through time, and hundreds of ethnic groups create a fascinating mosaic of worlds found nowhere else. Jana Wolfová’s captivating presentation will show you an Indonesia rarely seen by the average traveler. You will journey to remote regions where ancient ceremonies are still practiced today: you’ll see the Toraja funeral rituals with tautau effigies in Sulawesi, the mysterious hanging of monkey skulls by Mentawai shamans on Siberut, the dramatic Pasola horse battles on Sumba, and trance dances in sacred Balinese temples. Indonesia is a world of colors, stories, and energies that will draw you in and never let go.
Jana Wolfová, who has been traveling to the country for 20 years and runs schools on the island of Lombok through the [Kintari Foundation](link to Kintari Foundation website if you have one), will introduce you not only to its beauty but also to the face of a land shaped by natural disasters and human activity. An evening full of discovery, surprise, and inspiration awaits – ideal for anyone who wants to experience Indonesia outside of the typical tourist brochures. Come join us on a journey to the heart of one of the world’s most vibrant corners.
