Elijáš Christian High School, Primary School and Nursery School

The Elijáš Christian High School, Primary School and Nursery School building underwent an extensive renovation based on a design by the architectural studio DaM, s. r. o., and has been open since September 2010. The school focuses on Christian education, English language learning, and a healthy lifestyle. Conceptually, it is not an “alternative” school – the teaching is based on its own curriculum developed in accordance with Ministry of Education framework educational programmes. The concept of the child is based on basic Christian principles – a child is a gift from God and a unique personality and must be given an individual approach. Educational and behavioural goals are focused on developing pupils’ key competencies necessary for success in today’s modern, international world. Children are encouraged to think independently and to develop their own judgement skills and strong moral principles. Individual classes have around 20 pupils.

The Elijáš Christian High School, Primary School and Nursery School,  will be expanding to include a high school from 1 September 2018. In connection with this project, the carcase of a pavilion with a useful area of around 1000 m2 has currently been completed across from the school building. This will be used for the students’ dining and leisure activities, thereby freeing up capacity in the existing primary school for establishing another level of education.

The investor in the construction of the pavilion is the non-profit organisation Maranatha z.s., and the construction is being done by Porr a.s. The expenses for the construction will reach 35 million crowns.

The pavilion will be opening at the beginning of the new school year, i.e. from 3 September 2018, together with the launch of the new high school.
